As residents of Louisiana are very aware, people get around in all sorts of ways. Usually it is by car, but sometimes it’s via public transportation, motorcycles or bicycles. This mix of modes can sometimes lead to an unexpected accident, whether it is a car accident, truck accident or motorcycle accident. An accident that recently occurred around 10:00 in the evening in New Orleans left a 50-year-old man fatally injured. The man was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old. The bicyclist was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
In this case, police did not file charges against the driver. However, that is not always the case.
