Representing Victims Of The BP Oil Spill

On April 20, 2010, the Deepwater Horizon oil rig owned by the Transocean, a Swiss offshore drilling corporation, and managed by British Petroleum, exploded killing 11 workers and injuring 17 more. The resulting oil leak has grown into one of the worst environmental disasters this nation has ever faced, inflicting additional damage to many Gulf Coast residents who make a living from the seas, including oystermen, commercial fishermen, charter boat operators, crabbers, shrimpers and property owners.

If you or a family member has suffered physical injuries or economic damages as a result of the explosion or oil spill, you may be entitled to compensation. At Bruno & Bruno, we serve clients in New Orleans and the entire South Shore, as well as Covington and the entire North Shore of Louisiana in a range of class-action claims. Our lawyers would be happy to review your claim and assist you in submitting your claim. Please note, however, that you do not need an attorney to submit claims to BP and to OPA.

If you would like Bruno & Bruno to represent you and assist in the process of submitting your claim, please complete the case submission form below, and we will mail you the appropriate documents. Our lawyers will help you understand your rights and options and fight to get you the compensation you deserve.

If you prefer to submit the form on your own, you may download the claim form, attach the appropriate information and submit it to BP. You may use this form to submit your claim to BP without our assistance. Remember to date your claim form with the date submitted to BP and keep copies of all information submitted and received with regard to your claim, including correspondence to and from BP, insurance companies, the Small Business Administration, state and local governments, and others. This correspondence will become important should you require the assistance of an attorney in the future.

You must supply BP with the information required by the OPA in order for your claim to be properly evaluated and for you to be potentially compensated for your loss. The OPA requires that you first file your claim with BP. BP will have 90 days to review your claim and render a decision, either approving or denying your claim. You may not file a lawsuit until either BP denies your claim or 90 days elapse without a decision reached.
